I have had mine for 9 Years it consistently makes great coffee, however some routine maintenance will be required, If you are practical all the better or ensure you know a good local service agent, When you get it, seal around the front badge to avoid rusting of the base later because it is plated steel and the rivets damage the lacquer behind the badge. The boiler has no drain valve and so draining could be better . With TLC it will last for years and it is also a beautiful work of art worthy of display,

We bought this machine due to its looks. it is amazingly beautiful. After only a few months the base started to loose its look and even started rusting under the tray. We didn’t use any detergent or anything as such that can ruin the coat. Practicality – Every time you put in the portafilter the machine rotates. You have to hold it with your other hand. The tray is way too shallow and needs to be emptied after every couple of shots. The group had is very low so you need to have low cups. We ended up taking out the spout to make more room. We also needed to take it for a local service after 15 months as it lost pressure (we backflash and descale regularly) but this could happen to any machine
