DESCRIPTION
Quamar’s Ibrik coffee machine is a tool for making Turkish coffee in the traditional way. It is an electric device used as a cooking medium for Middle Eastern coffee, designed to heat sand safely and efficiently. The Ibrik-Q sandbox is designed to ensure an authentic and high-quality coffee brewing experience. Due to its robust construction and ability to maintain a constant temperature, the machine allows for better control of the brewing process, and this then allows for a frothy coffee with an intense and aromatic taste, as per tradition.
Preparation
Although the process of preparing hybrid coffee requires some practice and attention, the operation of the machine, on the other hand, is very simple: the sand is poured inside the electric hotplate and heated gradually by adjusting the thermostat until it reaches the optimal temperature for brewing Turkish coffee.
Once the sand has reached the desired temperature, the coffee is prepared: finely ground coffee powder and water are added to the cezve or ibrik, the traditional long, narrow-handled vessel, and placed inside the hot sand.
The sand acts as a heat insulator and helps evenly distribute heat to the pot, allowing the mixture to come to a slow boil and preventing the risk of burning the coffee.
Control knob and overheat protection
Quamar’s sand warming plates are designed to be easy to use and maintain and are equipped with innovative safety features such as temperature control via the control knob and overheat protection. In addition, the use of an electric heat source eliminates the fire hazard associated with using an external heat source such as an open flame.
