Purchased this as it seemed to cover all the bases coffee wise that I required at a very good price. It arrived very quickly and I’m very pleased with the machine. Simple to set up and supplies hot coffee with no fuss. The milk frother is a joy. For the price I can’t really fault this machine and it came with two free bags of coffee beans All in all 10 out of 10.

I bought the Gaggia Magenta Prestige as a replacement for an old Jura E6 machine which was going to cost almost £300 to repair! The Gaggia is not as well built as the Jura, which was built like a tank and was much heavier, but is easier to use and makes a wider variety of coffees, I particularly like the easily removable milk container and the easy to understand display menus. You can easily remove the whole brew unit for cleaning, which is a big plus over my old Jura machine, and cleaning consumables (water filters, cleaning tablets) are reasonably priced.My First impressions of this new Gaggia coffee maker are very good and it certainly makes excellent coffee! I also like the way the machine automatically prompts you for necessary cleaning actions (e.g. rinsing the milk nozzle, emptying the coffee grounds container). This machine also changes the order of placing milk, & coffee into the cup depending on the drink selected, which is a nice touch.

Ordered this after quite a lot of research and for the price I think its exceptional. Makes great coffee and is very easy to use, the milk frother works very well and it actually makes a HOT cup of cappuccino . Overall I’m very pleased. Delivery was very quick .

Makes great coffee and the variety of drinks it makes is very good. I would like more customisation if milk quantities however as some of the drinks are very small (6oz max on the flat white) I’d like to be able to add more milk to it to make it an 8oz drink. However generally very happy.

There are so many variations I haven’t had the chance to go through them all yet but early indications are this machine ticks all the boxes. As noted, it does make a properly hot cappuccino. Acutal taste of the coffee is decent but of course this is mostly down to the beans being used. I’m using a bag of Lavazza Rossa beans up and have yet to try the Gaggia beans that came with the machine. Not the cheapest machine out there but a lot cheaper than some. Good value.

This is an update after 2 1/2 years of using the Gaggia Magenta Prestige & making up to 6 cups of coffee a day. I have been most impressed with its overall performance. When I bought it I was a bit concerned that it was a bit flimsy & plasticky (compared to a previous Jura E8 machine) but the Gaggia has performed faultlessly. It is very easy to clean & consumables (such as water filters) are reasonably priced. The coffee tastes really good & it has a very intuitive user interface. When this machine eventually needs to be replaced I will definitely buy another Gaggia.
