DESCRIPTION

Quamar Newton 250Q is an automatic coffee tamper developed to improve espresso consistency, speed up workflow, and reduce the physical effort associated with manual tamping. Consistent tamping is essential for creating a uniform coffee bed, managing water flow, and supporting even extraction; Newton 250Q automates this stage with controlled, repeatable force.

The unit uses a proximity sensing device for automatic activation: the barista simply positions the portafilter in the holder and the tamping cycle begins. Its lever-and-piston system applies a controlled 25 kg force, equivalent to 250 Newton, compressing the coffee bed evenly and consistently inside the basket.

Each tamping cycle takes just 0.6 seconds, allowing the device to support fast-paced professional environments. Quamar specifies unlimited recommended daily tamping cycles, making Newton 250Q suitable for repeated use during service.

The standard configuration includes a Ø58 mm POM tamper compatible with standard portafilters. A Ø53 mm tamper is available as an option. With a stainless-steel body, ABS side panels and base, and a compact countertop footprint, Newton 250Q is a practical upgrade for cafés seeking greater uniformity, speed, and ergonomics at the espresso station.
