1. SAGE BARISTA EXPRESS GRINDING AND DOSING
The Sage coffee machine has an integrated grinder with conical blades that allows you to adjust the grind according to 16 setting levels. This makes it possible to obtain the right amount of coffee to produce a coffee with a rich, full-bodied aroma. The ideal dose of ground coffee of 18 grams is placed inside a 54 mm filter holder made of stainless steel like those used in professional machines.
2. PRE-INFUSION AND EXTRACTION
The Sage Barista Express espresso machine is equipped with technology capable of handling pre-infusion and extraction operations. In particular, the coffee machine is equipped with a 15-bar pump that enables extraction at 9 bar pressure. Extraction operations are preceded by a preinfusion phase where the freshly ground coffee powder comes into contact with water in order to release the carbon dioxide present inside the coffee cells. This encourages more water to pass through the powder, resulting in an aromatic beverage that best expresses the characteristics of the beans.
3. THERMOCOIL HEATING
The Barista Express is equipped with a Thermocoil heating system that allows the water to be dispensed at exactly 93 °C using PID technology. The stability of the temperature is a fundamental aspect for the brewing of a perfectly balanced flavour drink.
4. STEAM WAND AT 130 °C
The steam wand supplied with the Barista Express allows you to obtain silky, velvety milk foam with micro-bubbles by means of a 130-degree steam jet and manual whipping like a professional barista.
